We originally started our DJ service providing music and lighting for school dances, and these types of events are still our favorites! They give us a chance to go all-out and have a LOT of fun playing popular music enhanced with "Las Vegas Dance Club" caliber light shows.
High School
When you hire Ampersand Production to DJ for your high school, whether it's a quick DJ session for a Pep assembly or if it's Prom, we always bring our A-Game. We'll work closely with the students and administrators to create an appropriate playlist of music, assuring we'll play the type of music the students want to hear while making certain that the content (language and subject matter) are appropriate. We'll make certain our lighting setup matches your theme and then offer any suggestions we may have to help make your dance as amazing as it can be. We're always happy to lend our experience and expertise to you!
We mix live at your event! No pre-recorded sets or music played straight from an iPod (a good way to kill a dance). We take requests and mix them in on the fly. Our awesome sound system is tuned specifically for extra bass (it's what the kids want), and gets plenty loud for dances of any size. Of course, we know that a dance is only really successful with an amazing light show. A light show adds excitement and energy that is a definite must when it comes to school events.
For schools that book us for multiple events or an entire year, we offer incentives such as "lunch time DJ party" where we'll come DJ for students during their lunch break - FOR FREE! Other multi-booking incentives include glowsticks and other special upgrades not normally available.
