Getting to know dB DJs will let you decide whether or not we will be the right company for you.

dB DJs was founded in 1998 by Ben Penman. Yes, that is a long time for a DJ company to be continually providing services, but the years of service have made us one of the most experienced and knowledgeable companies available!

Throughout the years, we have been able to entertain thousands of people and give them the best entertainment experience possible. Our amazing staff members have provided the highest level of service and commitment to excellence that anybody could ask for.

dB DJs Today
dB DJs has recently become part of Ampersand Production, a company that excells in special event production and themed attractions. As part of Ampersand Production, we regularly provide services for Weddings, Schools, Corporate Events, College functions, Private Parties, Government Events, Military Events, Community Events, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. If you are having an event, we have probably done one just like it before and will make certain that you benefit from our experience.

Our DJ/MC service is our most popular, though we do offer great lighting packages that are certain to liven up any party, and change the ambiance from boring room, to badda-bing badda-boom.

We Give Back To The Community
We are very active in the community by donating time and offering discounted services to Non-Profit groups. We are the official DJ of the CHOC Oncology Prom, which is a dance put on for cancer patients who, because of their illness, are unable to attend their own Prom.

DJ Ben Penman
Owner and founder of dB DJs and Ampersand Production. Ben Penman had an early start in music and lighting and has been hooked on the combination ever since. With DJ experience starting in 1998, Ben has the know-how that many DJs just don't have.

As a University of California, Irvine Graduate, with a Degree in Lighting and Sound Design, Ben has enhanced his technical ability to produce an event from start to finish, while the charisma and professionalism that has made the company a huge success still shines through.

DJ Jen
A great DJ capable of playing to your musical Desires. Jen's love for music keeps her up on all the new hits as well as keeps her coming back for the "oldies-but-goodies." Starting her DJing in 2001, Jen is one great DJ and is usually found accompanying Ben as an assistant at weddings and larger events.

Jen is also a great event planner/coordinator (though she doesn't do it professionally). Her organization skills keep her on top of all aspects of your event. From the caterers to the photographers she doesn't miss a beat and keeps the event moving smoothly - and all of this is included with our DJ services.

Jen is a graduate of CSULB and when she is not DJing, she teaches the 2nd grade.
